Where do y'all find these images? This one makes me so sad. Lord have mercy on us.

it really is amazing how we have contextualized the gospel for our consumer-driven society... much to our demise. we've cheapened it, emptied it of its beauty, mystery, and love... and have reduced it to a product (or eternal vacation package in the afterlife) that can be attained through a quick recitation of a prayer...

God help us.

THE PITCH by The Soft Drugs

don't give up
you are almost there
from my chair it's looking good
you can do anything that you
get your mind made up to do

so just keep struggling
with the jobs you're juggling
someone's bound to give you a break
and there's so much more that you can take

brother, it's cool
i'm not attacking you
and nobody's trying to call you a fool
i'm just trying to make nice
with some friendly advice
and some knowledge that i picked up at school

don't give up
it just wouldn't be fair
to the kids in your neighborhood
everyone has some burdens to bear
you would share them if you knew that you could

it must be harrowing
your prospects are narrowing
better get your ass in a pew

get your shit together
if you want to live forever
there's still time for me to show you the truth
brother, here is what is in it for you
